PIMEC actively promotes the growth of companies and self-employed professionals by creating more opportunities for the future.
They represent and defend the values of SMEs and self-employed professionals before government administrations, other social agents and society in general, across the board, throughout the country and in all sectors, actively contributing to their growth, competitiveness, viability and productivity, and offering services and tools that help them achieve more.
We fully identify with the values that define PIMEC: independence, honesty and transparency. These principles guide both its institutional work and our own vision as a company.
PIMEC actively works to:
- Promote business activism, placing SMEs at the centre of decision-making.
- Defend companies against late payments and abuse of dominant positions.
- Demand fair conditions in public-private partnerships.
- Promote knowledge, training and transfer, key drivers of innovation and business transformation.
- Promote an inclusive model of capitalism that generates economic and social value in a sustainable manner.
At UNNOM, we share this vision of the future and add our voice to that of so many other companies that work every day to strengthen the local productive fabric.
Business organisations play a fundamental role in defending and promoting the economic and social interests of the companies they represent. One of the main ways they do this is through their participation and institutional representation in public decision-making organisations.
Both the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and other European, national and regional institutions recognise this right. Business organisations are considered essential agents of citizen participation, key in defining public policies and building consensus that affects society as a whole.
PIMEC currently participates in more than 900 committees, round tables and forums for negotiation and socio-economic consultation. This active presence allows it to convey the voice of SMEs to all relevant areas.
Among the most prominent bodies in which it participates are:
- Economic and Social Council of Catalonia (CTESC)
- Labour Relations Council (CRL)
- Management Council of the Catalan Employment Service (SOC)
- Catalan Agency for Training and Professional Qualification
At UNNOM, we deeply value the representative work carried out by PIMEC and trust that this institutional participation will translate into more inclusive and effective public policies that are adapted to the real needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.
